The students of the middle school had been working on ideas for their performance with their teacher Miss Freya.
The major issues they had identified were the dropping of rubbish on the street and burning of rubbish and leaves in piles.
In Dili there are rubbish bins on the street and they are collected and taken to the tip at T-Bar where it is buried in landfill. Not the ideal situation but much much better than having it blowing around as litter or fumes. "All I had to do was take the really good ideas of the students and help them work it into a format that created a strong and simple message that had a repetitive phrase and recognisable 'drama'."
